Adjusting Entries

The adjusting entries page lists the journal entries applied against the trial balance.

Creating a journal entry'

Click the "Create" button on the top left of the journal entry table.

The user must assign a journal entry ID, the adjustment type, and should supply a note explaining the entry. Click "Next" to create and access the Journal Entry Lines section.

Add a line by selecting the GL Account from the left drop down box. Enter the Credit or Debit value and press "Add Line".

You will always receive a warning that the journal entry is unbalanced when adding the first line. To create a journal entry, the sum of all Debit and Credit amounts should balance.

It is possible to add as many journal entry lines as necessary, as long as the debits and credits are balanced.

Click "Save" to apply the changes.
